So - What is the ideal interview process seen from our point of view?
First Interview - In-person with the hiring manager. Always great to meet the candidate, get face to face, and make the first impression purposeful. This is a good experience for the candidate, who gets to meet his/her direct manager, and see the office environment first hand before making a decision.
Within the next 48 hours, schedule the second interview.
Second Interview - Zoom call - let's use technology to our advantage. Your hiring manager has already met the candidate in person, so no reason to have the candidate take off work and make the drive. On this call, get every decision maker on the call as well. Carve out an hour, and get everyone on the call, ask the questions needed and make it happen.
